The northeast Missouri region is known for its great hunting, and the Bethel Colony has been offering an annual Big Buck hunt for youth for 20 years, under the guidance of Rodney Carr. This year, the Bethel Colony “Youth Hunt” competition for the 2024 deer season will take place during early youth weekend, November 2nd at sunrise through November 3rd at sunset.
RULES:
- The hunter bringing in a buck with the most points (minimum size of 1″ point to qualify) wins 50% of the entry pool, along with other prizes. Bethel Colony retains the remaining 50% of the entry pool. In case of a tie, the tie will be broken by the hunter who comes closest to predicting the number of points (+/-) of his/her buck. Check-in time at Fest Hall is also a tie-breaker criteria. Bethel Colony is the final judge.
PRIZES:
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as all deer taken will be awarded prizes. Three grand prizes will be drawn at the awards party. Winners must be present at the awards party (date to be announced) to win grand prize.
ENTRY FEE:
- Entry fee is $10.00. Deadline for entry is Friday, November 1, 2024. Fill out entry form (shown below) completely to register and turn in at the Bethel Fest Hall, 127 Main St, Bethel, MO 63434.
