LIVE MUSIC

We’re excited to welcome The Shortleaf Band to perform at the Bethel Fall Market Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2, 2022. They will perform several sets on each day. Founded by Ozark Fiddler Michael Fraser, this duet specializes in high-energy dance music rooted in celtic and old time traditions. Haunting ballads, rip roaring fiddle tunes with a dose of Southern Rock will provide what one may describe as “the real Mountain Music”! Mike and Tenley are folk musicians who specialize in the traditional music of the Ozarks and are touring performers of Missouri Arts Council.

SUPPORTING LOCALS

Rug Hooking Demo: Come to the Fall Market on Saturday, Oct. 1st, to see the art of rug hooking and view some beautiful finished pieces. This group of ladies from Bethel Rug Hookers gathers regularly in Bethel, and we’re so glad they volunteered to demonstrate this art for us! (Saturday only.)

Free Booth Spaces: Our community is proud to promote the hard work of FFA, 4H, and other student entrepreneurs, so we’re providing a space at no charge for them to sell their projects or the fruit of their labors! Students, contact Kim Miles about reserving your space at the Bethel Colony Fall Market.

Chili Cook-Off on Saturday: Think you have an award-winning chili recipe? Enter it in the Heartland Recovery Chili Competition.

HISTORIC HOME TOURS

Have we got a treat for you! Make plans to attend Bethel’s Fall Market October 1st and 2nd, and be sure to be there before 1pm — we’ll be offering one guided tour each day of several historic homes, and ELIM is on the list! Tickets are $10 per person, and will get you on the tour to see Elim, Bair, Fanny’s & the Smokehouse, and the Miller Haus.
 
All proceeds benefit ongoing maintenance and preservation efforts for Bethel Colony historic buildings. And be sure to stop in and see the Museum (pictured) for free!
